As I’ve been planning my Stretching A Dollar For Entrepreneurs Event, I’ve been looking for free event promotion tools to help me “stretch a dollar” in the marketing and promotion area and get the word out about the event. I found quite a few free tools such as evite, press releases, Twitter, Facebook events, and event calendars for various media sources but one tool really stood out and impressed me the most: Eventbrite.
Don’t sleep on Eventbrite! This is an awesome free online event promotion tool that lets you not only create your event details online by creating tickets (you can specify the number of tickets) but also allows you to promote your event on various social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin. Likewise, it allows you to send out email invitations and track the status of those invitations. You can also customize the information that you would like to collect from registrants during the registration process. It even allows you to print out name badges and check-in list on the day of the event. I’ve just highlighted some of the powerful features of Eventbrite but there are so many that I just can’t do it justice. It is an awesome all-in-one event promotion tool for businesses of any size.
